Why this prasad, and why this way
There is no shortcut to this one. The prasad is issued at the Bhawan, above the cave, and it comes down the same path everyone walks. Our sevak climbs at night with the lamps, offers your chadhava at the Bhawan counter, and carries the parcel down at first light. The chunri in your box was in the sanctum that morning.

Vaishno Devi chunri for my daughter's wedding
We wanted Mata's chunri in the house before the wedding and no one in the family could make the climb in time. It arrived four days before the ceremony, with the kadha thread for each of us. My daughter wore the chunri on her head during the vidaai.
